About me
I am an experienced business leader, working and developing businesses and brands in multiple global markets. My commercial career started in Scotland and progressed with increased responsibility, including 14 years working with Johnson & Johnson, to become Managing Director of Benecol Ltd, a €85mn business within the Raisio Group of companies.I have reached a point in my career where I am looking to investigate future employment opportunities in a different business environment, where I can continue to develop and learn, but utilize the extensive business skills and experience I have, to add value for a new employer
I have always had a very keen interested in the arts from an amateur perspective and would like to try and find opportunities where my transferable business skills can support an organisation within a creative environment.
Additional skills:
Developing TV, radio, press and digital creatives with agency partners

Additional information:
I recognise building partnerships and relationships are crucial to operational success. I have a significant level of experience in developing networks and managing these relationships both internally and externally at all levels and across geographies. My communication skills are very well developed, both written and verbal and am recognised as a strong and engaging presenter, utilizing communication tools such as PowerPoint and Excel. I regularly present to groups both formally and informally.
I am a very experienced people manager, managing teams in the UK but also in global markets. As Managing Director of Benecol Ltd, I was responsible for the management and development of a high performing team of sixteen UK based staff. This included having responsibility for their development and identifying training needs and working with them to source training solutions. I believe people management to be one of my key strengths. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to lead but also be a member of cross-functional culturally diverse project teams. Working for truly global businesses like Johnson & Johnson and Raisio, has given me experience of managing cultural sensitivities and developing my own flexible communication style.
