About me
Working in the creative fields of Theater, TV, and Film is my passion and joy. I love what I do and the people who are my colleagues...which in turn helps foster an atmosphere that thrives. Attitude colors all of our endeavors, and from my perspective, there is always a solution; I've been called a "woman of action", which I carry proudly.Aside from work, the outdoors, animals, and volunteering in my community are very precious to me. I love to garden, read, host dinner parties and l crave stimulating conversation about ideas and our world.
Additional skills:
PADI scuba certified, extreme empathy and intuition, a contagious laugh, and the knowledge of when to be serious.
Crew:
Twenty years of working professionally in theater, dance, opera, and film, my skills span a wide range. I toured with Wicked for 6.5 years, as the Assistant Wardrobe Supervisor in charge of Male Ensemble, teaching locals how to dress their performers, care for the laundry, paint the shoes, etc. I personally took care of the mechanical costume pieces on the show. I've successfully maintained and repaired monkey wings, Tin Men, large scale puppets, plus juggled many areas of supervision, including being the Head Supervisor during a 10 week absence of the regular Head, due to illness. Teaching crew in each city so that they can succeed has been one of the most fulfilling aspects of this work.
Over many years, and in various venues, I've been a Crafts Artisan, Milliner, Dyer, Beader, Armorer, Puppet-maker, and all around problem solver with a hunger for research and development.

Additional information:
I am currently seeking full time employment in Portland Oregon, or contract work around the USA and Canada. My ideal focus would be hands-on work in Costume Crafts construction, including dyeing. I've worked in Props Construction at the Santa Fe Opera, and built large and small scale puppets also, so I am well versed in large and small scale.
