About me
I started out in the industry as a radio runner for a small hire company in Dumbarton, Scotland. At first it was something to do in my spare time while at University studying Management and Theatre Studies. I soon realised however, that sound engineering appealed to me much more as a career than any other path I had considered previously. A few years later, I found myself working in the West End as a #3, and have been lucky enough to be solidly employed in the sound business for 16 years since then.Additional skills:
Teaching is something I have found to be very important to me, as is managing and building a team. Over the past few years, I have begun mentoring college students who perhaps don't have access to a mix teacher, and I try wherever possible to employ a new mixer on my team to give someone a chance to learn.
I have a Grade 6 in piano, played percussion at school, and I am learning the cello.
