Set in Victorian London, it follows the story of upper middle class Alice and her blossoming romance with the working class Harry. Alice struggles with her overbearing father, the obvious class divide and Harry's involvement in an organised crime ring. When a colleague of her fathers is found murdered, Alice's loyalty is tested as she is left with a choice to make regarding her own happiness and keeping her family safe.
