In a last ditch attempt to rescue their marriage, Jack and Kay Chambers give up their luxury city apartment and move to the rural idyll of Hadleigh Corner, hoping to put the memories of past infidelities and
disappointments behind them. Their beautiful, newly-built home seems a perfect symbol of their fresh start. At first it seems that all their hopes will be fulfilled. The neighbours, Doug and Andrea Patton are warm and welcoming and the party invitations are flowing. Their children – Maggie and Dan – settle in well and Jack successfully throws himself into his work as a high-powered venture capitalist, while Kay decides to kick-start her former career as a caterer. But as the couple begin the process of rebuilding their relationship, they discover that behind the façade of respectable residential lives their neighbours are indulging in a secret scene of swinger's events and adult party games that have absolutely no limits.
