Ashley is a 27 year old guy who has just been dumped by his long term girlfriend. His band are going nowhere, his job is at a dead end and the bank of his parents is slowly closing. Despite claiming to be committed to his band he rarely ever shows it and seems to fall into cycles of self destructive behaviour that keep him from achieving his goal: becoming a famous and talented musician rather than a mediocre and unenthusiastic barista.
Ashley struggles through life trying to find purpose, love and above all recognition, but his cynical, immature and lazy nature means it might not be as easy as he thought. He has also bought quite a lot of smashed avocado this month so might not be able to afford his rent.
At least his mum still loves him.
