    Additional Skills

With a Masters degree in Chemistry I have a sound knowledge a broad range of scientific terms and am comfortable with dense, technical texts. I also work in the wine trade and have a broad range of knowledge in this area.

    Short description of my voice

My voice is bright, playful, and clear with a soft South London twang and friendly, conversational tone, perfect for connecting with younger audiences in charity or educational spots. I also have impeccable RP well suited for neutral or classical pieces and a good range of other accents for character work.

As a narrator I am adept at finding an emotional connection with the text, and create compelling characters within smooth narration. My tone is suited to: contemporary or quirky comedy, romance, classical work, self-help, children's fiction and young adult reads. I also relish the chance to read anything sci-fi or fantasy.

A character actor at heart, I love the challenge of creating an entirely new voice, and am particularly skilled at voicing children.

    Additional Information

"Fran is a wonderfully talented actress and a very considerate, fast-working narrator and producer. Working with her on my audiobooks has been a smooth and very enjoyable process; she's really brought my books to life!"

    - Phil Williams, Author, The Ordshaw Series

"Fran is a highly sensitive voice artist, who has a finely tuned ear for what's needed on screen. She interprets tone with great emotional intelligence, and pays close attention to direction - so is a pleasure to work with. Alongside her talent and craft, she turns work as soon as she can, which is invaluable to getting a project to its finish line."

    - Meghna Gupta, Producer, Legacy

"masterfully narrated bringing all the characters to life and adding just the right amount of drama - I would pick this in preference to most multi-cast radio dramatisations”
