    Additional Skills

After many years of singing, acting, and dancing class, I can provide character to voice overs and bring a full range of emotion to my work. I am highly inventive and creative with an ability to problem solve and find work arounds that work. I once read most of an audio book in a Northern Irish accent!

In my "other life", I'm a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with an IAPT service, a registered Counsellor, and a Counselling Psychology Trainee at the end of my training. Becoming a therapist has given me an empathy and warmth that I can project into my work with ease because it's what I do. And if anyone else in the studio has "stage fright" I don't mind a few CBT moments to get the job done! ;-)

    Short description of my voice

I'm very much an alto and have a deep voice for a woman. Years in the music business, successfully singing blues and jazz gave me an ability to give my voice either clarity or huskiness, depending on what is wanted.

I also have extensive experience of many hours in recording studios so I'm the quintessential professional - I arrive on time, get on with the job, and don't throw piss hissys or play the diva. I'm supportive and respectful of my fellow professionals, being considered very easy to work with.

I can do a full range from much younger and perky to sexy and alluring to serious and with gravitas to playing "The Therapist" - I should be able to do that, it's my day job!

Clive Black always said " give good phone..."

Pete Mathison (guitarist): "I was lucky enough to be a guitarist in Linda Berkeley 's all star Jazz and Blues band, between 1990 and 1993, through her diligence we were one of the hardest working bands in London, later we had some European trips which Linda organised and transported us with great success.I very much enjoyed my time with her and found her to a supreme professional but, also a caring bandleader,I would heartily recommend her for anything."
