Every quest to become a TikTok influencer eventually involves translating online clout into real-world wealth.

The TikTok Creator Rewards Program is a key part of making that happen. The higher your content’s views and quality, the more it’ll pay you each month.

If you already boast a strong TikTok following, the Creator Rewards Program can probably put money in your pocket. If you’re just starting out, studying the ins and outs provides goals to work toward and insider knowledge to make bank once you arrive.

Let’s dig into how the program works, how you join, how earnings are calculated, and how lucrative you can expect it to be.

What is the TikTok Creator Rewards Program?

Launched in 2023 to replace the TikTok Creator Fund UK and TikTok Creativity Program, the Creator Rewards Program is TikTok’s way of paying creators for original high-quality content that’s over a minute long.

You know how the YouTube Partner Program pays a certain amount for every 1,000 views? This is basically TikTok’s version of that.

How does the TikTok Creator Rewards Program work?

You’re paid based on the qualified views (more on that below) and value of eligible content (also more on that). The higher a video’s views and value, the more it earns.

Joining also grants access to a shiny, new enhanced dashboard where you can learn from fellow creators, track performance and rewards, and ultimately “rev up your rewards potential.”

How much does the Creator Rewards Program pay?

The Creator Rewards Program pays more than the old Creator Fund it replaced. Writing for entrepreneur platform Oberlo, Adeel Qayum calls it “a direct response to creator complaints about low earnings” and suggests it’s “designed to make content creation on the platform a more sustainable career.” That’s the good news.

The bad news? Even though payouts can be much higher than before, earnings vary depending on video performance. Income still isn’t particularly consistent or reliable.

TikTok Creator Rewards Program eligibility

Personal requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old (and 19 in South Korea).
  • You must have at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the past 30 days.
  • You must be based in and have an account registered in one of these countries:
    • United Kingdom
    • United States
    • Germany
    • Japan
    • South Korea
    • France
    • Mexico
    • Brazil
  • You must have a Personal account.
  • You must not have tampered with the program or engaged in fraudulent activities.
  • You must follow TikTok’s community guidelines and terms of service.

Content requirements

Each piece of content you post must meet the following criteria to be eligible for rewards, even after you’ve joined the program:

  • Be over one minute long
  • Earn at least 1,000 views on the For You feed
  • Not be a Duet or Stitch
  • Not be created using Photo Mode
  • Not be an ad, paid promotion, or sponsored content (so nothing created during TikTok content creation jobs)

Content that fails to meet those requirements won’t be penalised by the algorithm or get you kicked off the program, it just won’t make any money – no matter how many views it racks up.

View requirements

Not all views count toward your rewards in the TikTok Creator Rewards Program.

Standard TikTok views count every user worldwide who watches your video for even a millisecond. Qualified views, on the other hand, are the number of standard views that meet more demanding criteria, including:

  • Watch time of at least five seconds
  • From an account in:
    • United Kingdom
    • United States
    • Mexico
    • Brazil
    • South Korea
    • Japan
    • Germany
    • France
  • Unique (multiple views from the same account are counted only once)
  • Not fraudulent or paid for
  • Not from ads, paid promotions, or sponsored content
  • Not from View Boost Benefit (but TikTok confirms that those views are still “super helpful for growing your audience”)
  • Only qualified views count toward your earnings.

One video from Lisa of @sidehustlesister, for example, got 1.1 million views, of which nearly 566,000 counted as qualified. The remaining 547,000 views earned her absolutely nothing.

That’s actually a tad better than average. Successful TikTok creator Will Francis estimates that around 30% of views typically count as qualified.

How are payouts calculated?

Standard Rewards and an Additional Rewards multiplier combine to determine your earnings, and each has its own criteria.

Standard Rewards

Standard Rewards are based on revenue per mille (RPM), or, more plainly, money made per 1,000 qualified For You feed views. Each eligible video has a different RPM based on factors such as:

  • Performance: average watch time, completion rate, and retention rate
  • Search value: the amount of search traffic content generates
  • Location: where you’re based and where your content is viewed
  • Engagement: the percentage of viewers engaging with content via likes, comments, shares, and saves
  • Advertising value: the viewer’s TikTok ad watch time

TikTok suggests increasing RPM by focusing on “high-quality, original, and engaging content.”

The higher a video’s RPM, the more it makes per 1,000 qualified views. Let’s imagine a video with exactly 50,000 qualified views. Standard Rewards would come in at:

  • $15 (£11.10) with a $0.30 (£0.22) RPM (50 x 0.30)
  • $45 (£33.30) with a $0.90 (£0.67) RPM (50 x 0.9)
  • $75 (£55.51) with a $1.50 (£1.11) RPM (50 x 1.50)

Experts from Oberlo and Influencer Marketing Hub estimate a typical RPM range of $0.40 (£0.30) to $1 (£0.74). We’ll take a look at some real-world examples below.

Additional Rewards

TikTok describes Additional Rewards as “your quality multiplier – the better your content performs, the higher your RPM can climb!”

Content qualifies for Additional Rewards by being:

Well-crafted

It demonstrates attention to detail in the creation process, including:

  • Scripting in advance
  • Good lighting and recording equipment
  • Clear shots from various angles
  • 1080p or higher
  • Strong editing skills

Engaging

Content that “sparks meaningful conversations and builds community on and off the app” by offering unique perspectives, fresh ideas, and personal insights.

Specialised

“This means choosing a specific theme or area of expertise and sharing your knowledge or skills with your audience,” says Zoë Triska, TikTok’s global head of creator development. “Pro tip: You can use Creator Search Insights to find out popular topics audiences are looking for that don’t have a ton of views yet.”

The better you deliver on those values, the higher your Additional Rewards multiplier gets.

Cody and James (of @bigspoonlittlespoon312) saw a huge earnings jump by upgrading production and focusing on a tighter niche. “Our consistency in combination with our improved production quality has allowed us to earn five times our standard Creator Rewards Program earnings,” they say.

How much does the TikTok Creator Rewards Program pay UK creators?

You’re probably wondering how TikTok’s various eligibility qualifications and rewards calculations translate into real-world TikTok earnings. Here are some figures shared by UK creators.

Jemima from @jemimaeve:

  • Made about $6 (£4.40) from 8,800 qualified views in February 2026, with an average $0.67 (£0.50) RPM and a 1.77x Additional Rewards multiplier
  • Made $55 (£41) from 51,400 qualified views in May 2026, with an average $1.07 (£0.79) RPM and a 3.08x Additional Rewards multiplier
  • Made $49 (£36) from 50,100 qualified views in July 2026, with an average $0.97 (£0.72) RPM and a 4.03x Additional Rewards multiplier

Samantha from @mumtomorgan

  • Made £72 from 129,300 qualified views in June 2026, with an average £0.55 RPM and a 1.9x Additional Rewards multiplier
  • Highest paid video from June 2026 earned £10.81 from 5,600 qualified views with a £1.94 RPM and an impressive 8.89x Additional Rewards multiplier

Candice from @candilicious:

  • Made £69 from 180,100 qualified views in May 2025

Laura from @sidemoneymummy:

  • Made £821 from 1.3 million qualified views from Nov. 20 to Dec. 20, 2024

Sustaining yourself on Creator Rewards alone is certainly possible, but they don’t pay the bills for most creators. They’ll probably represent just one of the ways you’ll end up making money on TikTok

“There are some creators who do make a full-time income from the Creator Rewards Program, but those are people for whom content creation is their full-time job…and they’re consistently getting millions of views per week,” says TikTok coach and creator Lana Kearney. “Most people, if they’re taking content pretty seriously, are going to make between £100 and £200 a month.”
