Paul learns about his brother same-sex relationship
Paul and his brother Sam were very close as they were growing up together. That's why when he heard the news of Sam being in a relationship with a man, he is a bit shocked, but he is mostly disappointed because Sam was hiding it from him, and he is even more disappointed to find out that Julie has been aware of it already. Julie, on the other hand, has other things bothering her, so she is annoyed when Paul starts talking to her about Sam's issue. The conversation is happening after the dinner dedicated to their father's birthday. Sam left after the main meal, the parents left with Julie's kids to get something sweet for the dessert.
