Rep , the trials and tribulations
Enquiring after excellent recommendations regarding high end boutique style acting agencies, (good TV track record ideally) would love to hear from actors who are with or who know agencies seeking new representation for their books.
Looks like you’re in the ‘lucky’ age bracket of ‘older’ actors like me who are less prolific as the 18-30 range. So you’ll have an easier time for sure. I’d send out mass email applications selling yourself starting from the tier 1 agents (ITG, Curtis Brown etc) and work down, there are useful lists of the tiers on Reddit I believe-it’s worth a shot and you never know, I know of one person who sent an email to CB and was taken on by them.

Many thanks for the pointers, its a slow and arduous process but one I’m engaged with, the tier option is a good suggestion, but the response yield is very poor, appalling I really should say. Ill check out Reddit to track any suggestions I may have missed. Thanks for the response its appreciated.

A quick Google and I found the link. It’s a few years old and there are a number of new boutique agencies since then but it’s still valid.

It is time consuming, I think I sent 100, both from lists on here and the one above, I had offers from 5 and met and accepted my current agent (in 2014!).
Any more Q’s just ask!
I would agree with Oliver, this is great advice. That reddit spreadsheet is a great start although a little outdated. I'm currently putting in the work and creating an updated list to apply once I've got all my ducks in a row. Good luck Johnny!
