What does Pre selected mean?
I WAS TOLD I WAS PRE SELECTED FOR A PART IN A FILM AND ASKED TO SEND IN PHOTOS OF MYSELF IN A BIKINI? WHAT DOES PRE SELECTED MEAN? AND IS THE BIKINI THING NORMAL

Have either of you heard back from Groucho or have they disappeared into thin air? I know Nikki has heard but wondered if you guys had? Ben you seemed to be the only one who got a response after your "bikini shot" - any more since then or do we all write this one off?

Tour long - another four weeks after this one then a couple of weeks off - bliss!! Think I should spend it on a beach in the Canary Islands but not much chance of that!!

I'm sure Carmell won't mind me adding to this thread the really great news that she has won the role of Amaretto - the lead female in this film!!
Wanted to say HUGE CONGRATULATIONS and shows that it was genuine after all!
We both applied and the best woman definitely won so good on you my DS!!
Hope everyone will join me in wishing her success as she is fairly new to this business and this could be a great boost to her career.

I'm glad to hear we've had a happy outcome to this thread. Can I just ask - did you actually get to meet the casting director in the end or was it down to how good you look in a bikini?!
Well haven't met the director so guess it was my baywatch body!! I'm joking about the baywatch but after saying I have been selected as the lead now they say they want me to audition? So confused how can I be selected but now I have to audition. Should I not audition then be selected?

I was all ready to congratulate you then I read the last note and thought oh oh, but congratulations is still worthy to you. It sounds like youve been thru a rollercoaster of emotions on this one, thinking youve landed the lead to be told this. I've been asked to play a part in the film but then it said I have to audition in may...not sure what all this means. Anyway, don't think I can do it cos I'm doing MacBeth 1st two weeks of July...oh well....like buses...!x

Noooo! I can't believe they would tell you the part was yours and then ask you to audition! This doesn't make sense at all!
Carmell, I'm so sorry for putting this on the thread but I was SO pleased for you and your success I just wanted to share it with everyone! Any one elase starting to get really annoyed with dodgy audition postings?
I must say this has sounded wierd from the beginning but fair enough, I'm not the most experienced actor in the world, esp not in the film world. But never have I heard of anyone being offered a part and then told they have to audition!!! Doesn't make sense at all.
