Any hints or tips on getting into animation and computer game voice work?

Thanks, will do some more research and think about finding a dead room, maybe wait till i move. So frustrating though as starting to get interest and new hurdle, but thats the joy of this career i suppose, keep you on your toys.

You can create a dead room in various ways- I've heard of people putting up sheds in their spare rooms and sound proofing them.
You can also create a booth with curtains, rails of clothes, or even (when desperate) under a duvet!
The plug in the mic- then what? Is what I'm dealing with presently. I think it varies between computers. Mine is now plugged in but not responding- got to love technology. Will also do some research and if I find out, will tell you!

Sally, thing is, if your mic needs phantom power to operate (and most professional mics will) then plugging it in your computer won't do anything... If you choose to go down the Mbox route you won't have this kind of problem, and will be able to record on an industry standard software, allowing you to deliver in whichever format your client requires. Digital Village and Turnkey do good deals on Mbox2 ;-)
