we all have to laugh at our selfs so i thought it would be fun ok ill start you off when i was aboult 12 i went to a casting held at sylvia youngs school it was a gangster tv movie bbc suddenly all these hodies rushed the place nicking computors bags the works i said wow that looked so real and started clapping only to be told they were robbers off the local estate lol sorry syvia who by the way is a top lady how many funny things happen to you guysoh yeah once i had to kill a child in murder in mind the director grabbed the stick and said no bring it down really hard and smacked the kid on thhe head for real lol micky spreading the lovxx
I once travelled 2 hours to an audition when I was really trying to get show reel bits together, so anything would do!
Once I arrived I looked around the area and couldn't find any notices or people there. I eventually got through to one of the film-makers and she, after awhile, found me (bear in mind that I was in the location where they had advertised...and they couldn't find it?).
Anyway she led me to another place and handed me the entire script and then looked at me as if I was just going to reel off the entire piece. There was a nice uncomfortable silence as I asked them what they wanted me to perform or any specifications. I eventually suggested I should perhaps show them the scenes I had looked over.
One of them helped out by acting as the other character in the script, but while doing the audition decided to stop it and discuss if I thought her character should be sitting or standing?! I was completely baffled as I was starting to think I had been brought in as some kind of outside consultant!
After the scene there was another one of these long uncomfortable pauses the two shared with each other, I think they were really shy and I pretty much had to lead the whole audition, odd to say the least.
I went to an odd audition years ago with students naturally and I used to be a film student so I'm allowed to judge them all! I was asked into the room but they were all having an argument about the script with this man who I assumed was the teacher the way they were all terrified of him. I sat politely while they carried on, the man kept ranting about how the hitman role was totally wrong and he turned to me and said "no one in this room could kill anyone". At that point I realised he was in fact the other actor auditioning and I did think about killing him with my thumb just to prove him wrong.
The atmosphere was very weird and very awkward as he kept ranting on at them. They of course all totally ignored me while he kept ranting on. After about 20 minutes of being ignored completely and getting a bit bored of his ranting I asked to read the script outside and legged it home. Weird weird weird weird!
