Golden Rules for Actors

I've been around for quite a while now, and it would be wonderful to share some wise words.... (but if anything I'm more confused than ever!). So please share your wise words, your "Golden Rules", keep 'em short, explain them if you want but keep the rule itself to a sentence or two.
I suppose I ought to start the ball rolling and so in keeping the gold theme.

1. All that glisters is not Gold.

Oh and: Do it now. Sometimes 'later' becomes 'never'

Remember, acting is your job. Yes, it can be a wonderful, glorious life changing job but it's still a job. Often it can be all consuming; don't let it take over. Have a life outside work.
