Five-time winner (and further 4 nominations) of Somerset Fellowship of Drama Awards (pantomime, straight plays, and musicals.) Two years running for Best Performer by someone 16 and under in panto for roles as Peter Pan and Jiminy Cricket. One of the others was for "Best Female in a Cameo" for my role as the Tailor in The Taming of the Shrew, (in a tour which covered Somerset with a group supported by the RSC).
(Full reviews on personal website.)
Hence extremely versatile and, until recently, have played lots of male roles very successfully.
Completed my first professional presentational job - 4 days filming for a media company on behalf of a medical company. After a long wait this is in the final stages of production and footage will be available soon. Website includes full CV (pro and extensive amateur experience) and photos (including character shots).
Playing age could be, realistically, anywhere between 13 and 17, and am used to completely changing my appearance for a role, as website photos show.
Previously awarded a drama scholarship at the prestigious Kings College in Taunton, but relinquished as I did less drama while there than before I joined!
Favourite review from SFD - for one of my earlier pantomimes as the King Hearts (from Alice in Wonderland). “Let me tell you a little secret. My wife has accompanied me to dozens of pantomimes for over a decade. She enjoys them, but she rarely laughs. Even when she finds something funny, she internalises it; she does not laugh out loud. Until she saw you. I have never heard so many hearty laughs from her as I did during your performance. And no wonder. This was a mighty piece of casting. The huge presence of the Queen contrasting with the small, downtrodden King, a role that the director bravely filled by a moustachioed female. It worked wonderfully well. Your ridiculous movements about the stage, your timely interventions, your hiding behind the Queen and popping out at opportune moments, these were all wonderfully realised pieces of business which combined with your innate sense of comic timing to give us a really splendid piece of pantomime. And then to discover that you are only 13! Well, I am mightily impressed. Well done.”
Additional skills:
Have performed in lots of amateur productions. These include pantomime, straight plays, musicals, cabaret shows, and touring plays, all for paying audiences, at various theatres, smaller venues, and open-air touring venues. The parts have involved all aspects of acting, dancing and singing. In addition to these, I have performed with professional production companies, both at the Playhouse Theatre in Weston-super-Mare and at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil. I am looking at progressing my experience as far as I can. May also consider modelling work.
Additional information:
Somerset Fellowship of Drama - now a 5-time award winner.
2015/16 Cinderella Awards for Best Performance by someone 16 and under, (plus nomination for Best Principal Boy - adult category)
2014/15 Cinderella Awards for Best Performance by someone 16 and under as as well as "Best Young Animal Act."
2014 Phoebe Rees Award for "Best Female in a Cameo",
2012/13 Cinderella Awards for "Young Comic of the Year" as well as 3 additional nominations, one for the David Beach Awards (musicals) over the last 4 years.
(These are highly sought after awards, and not won lightly.)
Ambidextrous. Change hair-colour/style to suit role. London/Bristol/South/SW England preferable, but will consider beyond.
