About me
I am a passionate, committed and naturalistic actor. I am a Company Member of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain and recently have been invited to train part-time with the National Youth Film Academy. I completed my full-time actor training at ArtsEd (Arts Educational Schools, London) in May 2017, which won The Stage's 'Drama School of the Year 2016' award. Previously, I received professional actor training at Canterbury Institute for Performing Arts, where I was awarded 'Best Actor' and the 'Performing Arts Award'. I have received specialist professional training in Motion Capture and also in the use of handguns and rifle for film and TV. I have a strong and clear voice and take direction well. I can promise hard work, reliability and professionalism. I have good general theatrical acting experience and have done some TV and film work (including 19 independent films), but am keen to do more work in TV, film and commercials. In late 2017, I was cast in the title lead role for the latest feature film by top Independent film Director, Al Carretta, entitled 'The Madness of Tellaralette Seville', which he described as a 'heavyweight dramatic role.* The film was released on Amazon Prime and VOD in May 2018. In Spring 2018, I played Emily in Director James Crow's comedy horror, 'Last Village on the Right', alongside Dr Who's and Sarah Jane Adventure's Tommy Knight, which will be premiered in London in late 2018 and distributed worldwide on DVD/Blu Ray and on demand platforms.
My particular strengths are comedic, horror, emotional and period roles. I won't let you down! Please visit my website at www.oliviahespe.co.uk, which includes industry testimonials, film showreel, a theatre/stage showreel, monologues, my news, my full resume, a link to Spotlight and more photographs.
Additional Information
I have received training in acting for film and TV, singing, acting techniques, movement, voice, improvisation, use of masks, comedic acting, Commedia dell Arte, stage combat and Theatre in Education. I have performed at the Marlowe Theatre, the Lyric Hammersmith, the Gulbenkian Theatre, in the West End, at Canterbury Institute for Performing Arts, Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance, at the Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber Theatre in London, in community settings and in schools. I have work experience at the National Concert Hall for Wales, the New Theatre in Cardiff, Canterbury Tales Visitor Attraction and with the Culture and Sport Group of Kent County Council. I am continuing my acting professional development via coaching from a RADA tutor, through the Actors Centre, London and The Actors' Guild of Great Britain.Further information from the following:
