Tender Napalm, Directed by Kevin Johnson, is the first student run, theater production that I was ever apart of. Johnson cast me for the role of Man and told me the play was a two person show. He said that it was a lot of dialogue and if I was up for the challenge. I accepted and began to work on memorizing my lines. It took me over two weeks to fully memorize my lines as I had to balance work, school and this production. The journey was long and hard, but I finally made it.

The New Play Festival was created to showcase Writers, Directors and Actors. On this day was a five minute preview of the plays, Latin X (written by Jessie Carmona, and directed by Daniela Naranjo) and Wyoming Famous (written by Tyler Hill and directed by Erin Galloway). The New Play Festival took place in the CSULB Theater Arts Department in room 24-26, with the audience in the center and two stages set in opposite ends of the room. The transition for both monologues in Latin X was a simple addition of a hat and sitting on a chair. The transition from Latin X to Wyoming Famous required me to leave backstage, do a quick change and appear on the other side of the room after two other plays finish there debut.

Originally, I was cast to play Alice's father in The Siegel, by Michael Mitnick, directed by Steven Garry, but the show was canceled. I was sad the production was canceled, but this led to Theatre Threshold to come up with a last minute solution. The play, Behind Closed Doors is a mashup of the plays, Problem Child, directed by Lino Mora, and Bug, directed by Cameron Hohneker. Though the plays are different in plot, both settings take place in a motel. Rehearsals took one week and performed the week after.

A Live Mixtape is my debut in the California Repertory Company. I played Homes, a father and husband who is having affair with Aurora, a 17-year-old high school student who works at a 7-Eleven. The role did not require me to go bald, but I committed to the character in shaving my head, to better represent my look for Homes. After the run ended a week later, the play had a one-time performance for the L.A. Get Down Festival at the Greenway Court Theater.
