Additional information:
Hello,
My name is David Jaedyn Conley and I am a professional composer and producer with a great deal of experience and motivation. I have a true love for music composition.
I have extensive experience in composition and broadcast production. I earned a Bachelors of Music in composition at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, and a subsequent Masters degree in composition from the University of Melbourne in Australia. I currently live in the Seattle area.
I have worked on everything from Disney/Nintendo games to Emmy award winning film documentaries; from Las Vegas slot machines to feature films. I am extremely eager to find like-minded people and join a team composing and producing music at an extremely professional level. Having worked on several award winning films, I have found I really enjoy working as part of a team. It affords me the independence of my role as the composer, while still allowing me to work together with others in a team to produce an end result that is amazing. I love that.
I am able to compose music in a plethora of different styles and genres. I play piano and guitar at an expert level and I am also a strong singer. Working in film and especially video games has taught me to work on several projects simultaneously (I actually prefer that) and receive feedback and criticism very frequently. These industries also taught me to keep and maintain deadlines as well as put out broadcast-ready product very very quickly.
I have had my own studio for sometime and am adept at advanced studio production techniques. I formerly worked as a producer for Classical KING-FM 98.1 in Seattle and engineered and produced live radio broadcasts of music performances including the Seattle Symphony. This required an immense amount of organization and problem solving skills. I was both the sole engineer and producer on the project.
Living in the artist-rich community of Seattle gives me access to many amazing studio musicians and players. Additionally, I know several orchestra contractors and can get players for special project fairly readily. Most of the time I am able to cover most parts either on synth or guitar and/or samples.
In closing I would like to say I am down to earth and grounded. I'm 47 years old and too traveled to have an ego. All I am concerned about is doing great work with great people. I'm a problem solver, and I also understand what it means to be a professional composer for hire on a commercial project.
I hope that my application has piqued your interest because your listing certainly has piqued mine.
