About me
When I was a kid, I remember having the best time making films. While growing up, I was always taking pictures and video whenever I could. I thought I was weird because I watched so many movies. It was only later when I realized that I could do this for a living. At the University of Florida, I received a degree in Anthropology with a minor in Classics and Latin American Studies. Anthropology, the study of human beings, has become an integral part of my movie career. After all, things like culture, dialogue, and human interaction, are very important to the script writing process. In addition, I believe documentaries are the true study of the human condition. Also, while in college, I backpacked around Europe including; Spain, France, Italy, and Amsterdam. After that, I lived in Costa Rica for 3 months where I worked as a whitewater river guide and learned Spanish. In 2007, I got a job as an associate producer at a local news station, and after a month, was promoted to director. As a live news director, I learned to think quick on my feet and work well in a team environment. Also, at the station, I produced several shows for TV. I have produced several documentaries and am currently expanding by producing films. Several of my documentaries have screened at film festivals including the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. Since being saved on September 17th, 2012 and giving my life to Christ, I have started making faith based films. Currently, we are taking our short film about Adam and Eve called “The Fallen” around to several festivals. It’s a film about the first love story from the beginning of time and the cost of rebellion. For this film, I was the cinematographer and Director. I used my southern style of filmmaking by using the rich natural settings of Florida as the backdrop to help tell the story. I have worked several jobs; car washer, white water river guide, construction work, and even a teacher. I know that making films is what I want to do because I have done it all. To me, life is about figuring out what you don’t want to do and I know that filmmaking is my calling in life.Referees:
