About me
Hannah is a Sydney-based artist and recent graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art’s Properties & Objects fabrication course. Hannah is a skilled sculptor and painter, with woodworking, welding, fibreglassing, leatherworking and mould-making experience. Her university research thesis explored the properties of silicone used in creating animatronic puppet skins.Prior to pursuing her interest in film props and effects, Hannah enjoyed a successful career producing 3d-modelled video game art at internationally recognised studios in Australia and the UK.
Later whilst studying at NIDA Hannah’s creations moved out of the digital and into the practical. Her traditional art training and experience with digital sculpture aided the transition and allowed her to excel in the areas of figurative and sculptural props, scenic art, puppetry and prosthetics.
During her final year at NIDA Hannah worked on a feature film at Fox Studios working in the moulding and prop-costume departments. Since graduating she has gained experience working in the sculpting and moulding department of a major Sydney creature effects company.
