About me
Born and raised in Northern England, I am a Kent based filmmaker. My work often centres around moral ambiguity and how socio-political pressures influence the ethics of his characters. In 2016 I shot “Lotus Flower” - a short doc looking at the community of refugees that developed in the Calais Jungle.
In 2017, I was selected for Film London’s short film programme. This resulted in the short “His Wake”, which was screened as part of the official selection of the BFI London Film Festival and several international film festivals. In addition, it was awarded Best Casting in a Short Film at the CDG Awards.
The same year I followed up “The Lotus Flower” with a feature documentary “Diaspora” - a film which covered the refugee crisis, visiting France, Greece, Turkey and Jordan.
In 2018, I wrote, produced, and directed the micro-budget film “Lie Low”, which travelled the international film festival circuit before its 2019 worldwide release on Amazon Prime and Tubi.
Since then, I have been working on a script for a limited series, “Incomers”, in development with Other Productions.
I am dedicated and thorough with a broad knowledge of media skillsets, including editing, camerawork and writing, all of which, I hope, make me a stronger director.
