About me
Theatre professional:Jerrome Buck-Townsend is a sound designer in his mid twenties who specialises in Theatre he is currently a student at the central school of speech and drama studying BA Theatre Practice > Theatre Sound. Throughout the duration of this course he has developed his skills and knowledge in sound design. He largely is working on the art of creating and controlling the total sonic environment of live performance as an integral part of the dramatic narrative. Theatre sound is one of the most rapidly evolving of the specialist theatre disciplines and is now a credited part of most professional productions.
Also on this course he has learned advanced production sound engineering skills for Plays and Musicals. Previously before he came to the central school of speech and drama he had a large passion in music technology were he learnt good composition skills. In 2009 he decided to open his own home studio recording services were he would work as a music producer and sound engineer. He also has developed in various fields such as Radio, TV and Film.
Jerrome has the following skills and knowledge: basic music composition skills in Piano and Guitar and the understanding of music theory, good hearing for sound quality, recording and mixing music and sound including live sound, positioning and rigging microphones and speakers.
As a student Jerrome is also continuing to develop his knowledge in, Signal processing, Ear and hearing ,Sound theory, Acoustics, Psychics and Electronics. Jerrome is a young passionate and driven individual, who has a lot of ambition and is willing to learning to develop his skills and knowledge to make a great impact to the sound and music industry.
