About me
Immediate Goal: Open and interested in any PA position.Short Term Goal: Key PA.
Long term Goal: 1st AD or Unit Production Manager.
Film experience: I was an intern at ESPN-Madison, a radio station. I've self-educated myself on nonfiction books about my specific role as a PA. (One I recommend based on most detailed & informative was "Getting It Done: The Ultimate Production Assistant Guide," by Joshua Friedman). Other than that, no experience on an accredited film set in LA. BUT - read below as to why you should still view me as a CRITICAL and extremely helpful asset to the project.
Why you should hire me:
I'm professional. I'm polite. I'm on time. I take pride in my impressive work ethic. I don't complain. I bring energetic positivity to the workplace. Working in the restaurant/bartending industry for the past 5 years during college taught me efficiency, big-picture thinking, and general common sense (that I notice isn't really common at all). The bartender still within me explains my friendly attitude.
I'm fun, and I work hard. I work smart. I learn quickly and I pay attention (even to the tiniest details, and I remember them for next time), so I know I'd be an ideal candidate for an entry level position, as I transition into the Film Industry. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Radio/TV/Film degree in May 2019. I very recently relocated to California, which explains why I don't have a car YET.
I stay off my phone at work, because I strive to be 100% invested in my work performance. Film is my passion, not Facebook. At the end of the day, I bring relief to my employers because I tend to be extremely helpful overall, and I do it with a positive attitude. I'm social, and I'm nice. I love coffee. I will get the job done.
Referees:
Jack Yip: Restaurant Owner of most recent job, Red Sushi.
Rob Johnson: Bar Manager at most recent job, Red Sushi.
Additional information:
In addition to college and working behind the bar in the past, I continuously spend hours self-educating myself with nonfiction books that regard working in the film industry. Jack Yip, one of my referees listed below, was my professional mentor in business skills, life advice, and success-driven advice. I love to learn and self-improve.
