About me
I am a young person who is beginning his life in the workforce. I am technically minded and enjoy solving problems. I’ve had many experiences so far in repair and customer service in my current job such as, repairing/replacing hardware, Suggesting things for staff to try to avoid any issues, answering the helpdesk phone to reset passwords and advise staff what to do if they have a technical issue. Upgrading operating systems in the workplace for staff to have a quicker and easier experience. Using the MMC (Microsoft Management Console) to instigate processes such as windows firewall service or to start windows updates if the group policy on the PC has failed to enable these features. I have experience in Regedit which allows me to delete old local profile keys to free up Hard Drive space, check for unsaved documents that may still be on the PC and fix issues relating to the local profile on that PC. I’ve also been trained in using Active Directory to move PC’s into a specific OU so the correct group policy is applied to the PC/user account so the correct printers are installed and remotely deploying software to specific PC’s/user account. I have experience in printer management specifically for Xerox. This involves ordering toners and other consumables, changing of toners and other consumables and general maintenance such as making sure paper is correctly inputted into the trays to avoid jams, cleaning of copiers so scanning and photocopying is to the highest quality, and requesting engineers if an issue is software related or I'm unable to resolve the issues with the tools at hand.Referees:
