About me
I discovered my passion for Film when enrolled in my Australian high school. I started Art College in Australia then I moved to Florida to continue studying and pursue my dreams as a Film Editor. While still enrolled in school, I worked on my first feature film “The Turnaround” as a Media management, edited a segment on a feature documentary “ Off the Couch into the Pasture”, produced a short film “Seer” with Valencia College, edited a web series “Living Samples” and edited a short film “The Ferryman” that won Best Editing at End of Days Film Challenge. When I graduated college with honors, I got offered a job on a TV series in New York as a media management and they loved my worth ethic and organization skills so they asked me to edit their first season “Bronx SIU”.Since graduation, I have edited 3 feature films (“Falling in Love Again”, “When It Comes Around”, “Everything That Glitters” and they’re available to buy at Walmart. I have also edited 3 different shows that are streaming online (“Bronx SIU” 2 seasons, “Ladies of the Law” 1 season, “A House Divided” 2 seasons) for UMC Network. The series Producer paid me to travel to NYC and LA to work on these shows and films. One of them “Bronx SIU” season 1 was nominated at the Emmy’s 2019 and another series “A House Divided” season 1 won best series at HAPAwards 2020. We are waiting on nomination news to hear from Emmys 2020 for “Bronx SIU” season 2 and “A House Divided” season 2 series. I also edited a short Historical feature “Odd Man’s Journey” that was nominated at HAPAwards 2020. I won Best Editing for a short horror comedy film at Creature Feature Short Film Competition in 2019.
In addition to editing I have produced some passion projects. “How We Kept America Great” documentary is about celebrating the achievements of those that contributed to the building and maintaining of America as we unite behind the values, standards and principles that have made America the great nation that it is today. Cybersecurity, Entrepreneurship and Product Design commercials at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. A baking show “Bake With Me” at Full Sail University to create awareness for Gluten Free recipes and know more about a disability in each episode. This show is close to my heart because I am deaf and I wear cochlear implants. This baking show has been going strong for 1.5 years now and our latest episode reached over 8,000 views.
In commercial projects as media management, I have worked with GreenDot, MyPillow, Brinks MasterCard, Johnson & Johnson, Disney, Walgreens and Cheerios.
I have achieved all of this in spite of being born deaf. I am continuing to grow and expand in this industry.
