About me
My experience in the film and television business goes back to my junior year in high school. In the past, I have won numerous accolades for film and television, including the Skills USA/ VICA competition winning 1st Place Award for Television (Video) Production and the Second Place prize in the First Annual Pennsylvania Computer Fair for Digital Media. As a senior, I was commissioned to direct and put a small crew together to create a spec-pilot for Sesame Street Productions. It was a kids cooking show called "Kids Kitchen". Throughout my college career, I have created and worked on many short films. In 2007, I directed/ co-wrote a short film entitled, "The Letter Home", a WWII narrative piece. The film became an official selection piece for the NY & LA International Film and Video Festival, and garnered the "Best Dramatic Short Film" award in New York. Several years ago, I was a student worker at SVA as an audio/ visual specialist. My job was to set up special celebrity interviews that SVA held monthly, repair any audio/visual equipment (i.e. microphones, cameras, computers, etc), assist audience patrons, and maintain office responsibilities in the absence of my superiors. Over the course of my four year college education, I have edited several of my own films, as well as other projects for numerous clients ranging from professional acting reels to webseries. In October 2009, I had directed and completed my first independent feature film, entitled "The Bastard Men of Root Flats". The film was a period piece set in the old west in 1874. The massive undertaking of the film was an experience that I will never forget. The film won the 2010 Silver Ace Award at the Las Vegas Film Festival for "excellence in filmmaking". In removed , I held an on call camera production assistant position on the set of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, as well as interning at Pipeline-Talent as a script reader/ transcriber. In spring of 2010, I began working at the Adorama Rental Company, heading up the film and video rental department. Over the course of two years, my duties at the company expanded towards market research for varying clients and production houses, whilst growing our film catalogue with advancing camera technology of the time. Since September 2012, I have had the privilege of working with the School of Visual Arts again in a more professional role, as the film production office/ studio supervisor. Over the years, my peers and colleagues have seen the progress; taken on scheduling responsibilities, working steadfast with other departments at the college pertaining to different upcoming projects, and maintaining a proper order to our studio facilities. With my vast knowledge and experience with the advanced equipment we've accumulated, I have been able to expand on previous studio and production ideas, allowing the school to look towards the future in regards to technology and workflow. The experience in this role has given me much growth.Referees:
