About me
Award-winning audio engineer, producer, mixer, sound designer, and composer who has worked across a variety of podcasts, in addition to composing hundreds of original scores for television and film. At FRQNCY Media, it has been one of my primary endeavors to fully design and implement all recording, production, and post-production processes, strategies, and practices while providing support and mentorship for all members of the sound engineering department. In recent years, I have been tasked with creating tangible pathways and resources for the Sound Engineering and Production departments, while thoughtfully and intentionally rooting team culture in a mindset of openness, perpetual learning, and growth. I believe that taking great care in all the fine details of our work processes allows our teams the freedom and space to explore, grow, enjoy work, and ultimately access extremely high levels of creativity. My recent production endeavors with FRQNCY Media include mixing, composing original score, editing, and sound designing the award-winning Vox Media podcast More Than This, as well as mixing, editing, sound designing, and composing for The Jane Goodall Hopecast, and being instrumental in the content strategy and structure of the podcast series. As a production and post-production professional, I have contributed my refined skill set to a number of FRQNCY podcasts, including A Matter of Degrees, More Than This, Friends With Tax Benefits, Hidden Voices, The Jane Goodall Hopecast, Untying the Knots, InCharge with Diane von Furstenberg, Dear Ethena, and The Cultured Podcast. My expansive catalogue of achievements also includes composing hundreds of original scores for TV and film, in collaboration with countless global brands including Mercedes Benz, Instagram, Neiman Marcus, Land Rover, Lysol, Estee Lauder, Ciroc, Verizon, Sunglass Hut, and countless more. I am a New York University alumnus, having spent nearly two decades in the Big Apple producing, performing, and touring with a multitude of bands, and devoting thousands of hours to shaping sounds and honing performances in the studio.
I am an expert (20+ years) in all the relevant audio production software, from Pro Tools and Logic, to Izotope RX. I have thousands of hours of experience with dialogue editing and pacing, audio repair, creative use of music and sound design, and best practices with respect to loudness / mastering.
