About me
I have strong experience as Costume Maker and Costume Assistant in thetelevision, commercial and theatre industry.
I have my own sewing machine and sewing kit and equipments to asist on set.
Currently I am working as freelance with a Costume Designer/Maker as
Assistant.
I worked as Costume Designer Assistant for the music video of Dizzee Rascal,
Partizan Production and also as Costume Designer for an indipendent short film.
In August 2012 I worked as a freelance costume maker for a big commercial for
"Baileys", with Andy Blake costume designer, Riff Raff Production, London.
I used to work at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, one of the most important
opera theatre of Italy.
The experience at Teatro alla Scala made me become confident to work as a part
of a large team ( the dresser’s team is usually made of 40 people) and with the
other theatre staff.
I experienced how to work in a busy professional production, with a lot of
performers ( at least a hundred artists for show) and to deal with very quick
changes during the live show.
I learnt the faster and accurate way to iron, especially men’s shirts, to make
laundry and to remove make-up from different kind of fabric.
One of the ability required was to keep all costumes in a tidy and secure
manner, according with the requirements. Be able to recognise where maintenance
work needs to be carried out.
All these skills are also the basis of my work in the TV Studios in Mediaset
(national italian network) like seamstress.
I developed the ability to deal with famous artists and international V.I.P.
and with Costume Designers.
Besides all the previous tasks described, my duties were to construct costumes
and accessories required from the costume designer, using a wade range of
fabrics and techniques. Usually in the quicker and better way.
I used to attend fittings and make alterations, with very short deadlines. All
the work is made according to the costume designer's requirements and with the
tuition of the costume designer assistant.
After the preparation, I attended dress rehearsals and then assisted during
the show.
If necessary, maintaining equipment and good quality of work-place.

I am creative and good eye for details, enthusiastic and dynamic.
I have an accurate hand and machine sewing skills (industrial and overlock
machine), ability to work to deadlines. I am used to working with flexible
hours.
I have a strong self motivation, quick learning ability and sincere
willingness to learn new techniques, as well as good communication skills. I am
used to working in a team. I am proactive and able to work under under minimum
supervision or stressful conditions. I am very motivated, punctual, dynamic,
responsible and easy-going.
