Additional skills:
My skills include Cubase programmer including MIDI up to a SYSEX/RPN/NRPN Hexadecimal level. This has always been my main choice sequencer however with the current cost of M audio equipment I have recently moved to Protools that was previously too expensive for me to own.
I have a reasonable amount of experience with Protools from my time at university, using the digi002 control surface. I am 101 level qualified with the new digi003 and Protools version 7.4 and version 8 for installation in schools. I am hoping to continue my Protools training by completing the Protools 110, 201 and 210 course in the very near future.
I am a Synth player and programmer and personally own a Yamaha DX7, CS1x , Novation KS Rack, Korg Microkorg and a Roland SH101.
Other software that I am very familiar with is Reason and Soundforge which I use in conjunction with Cubase.
As I have mentioned I am comfortable using a range of digital live mixing consoles but also analogue mixers such as the Midas Venice and studio desks include Mackie d8b with the hdr2496 recorder.
I have 3 years experience as a Pearl operator and 5 years as a Lightjockey programmer, mostly in the corporate events side and occasionally as nightclub and restaurants installations.
I have 4 years experience as a live sound engineer, again mostly for corporate events but I have been a stage technician for Party in the Park at Temple Newsome and Bradford MELA.
I have good PowerPoint skills as I have used it extensively throughout University and in endless corporate events.
I am skilled in QBasic Video editing from my time at University. I used Adobe Premier and Chroma Keyer. Most recently I have used the new Reflectmedia Keyers.
I currently train teachers an introduction to Pro Tools as and after sales support service at TMC. I compiled the the training myself in order to simplify Pro Tools and make it more accessable to less experianced school teachers. This forms part of the UK's goverment BSF scheme that put a lot of new technology into new build schools.
I regualry train sound engineers on the Yamaha LS9-16, LS9-32 and M7CL live digital mixers. this allows a flying start for our customers giving engineers the comfidence from the off.
