About me
To Whom it may concern; Here is a bit about me. I have a wide variety of content in my portfolio that ranges from movies to t.v. shows, commercials, conferences, events, albums, motion comics, and podcasts. I also have a wide variety of technical skills from pre-production to post.
In 2005, I wrote, directed, and edited my first attempt at a film, “Basketball Legend,” which received “Best Urban Feature” in the New York International Film Festival. In 2007 I created a Motion Comic book called, “Yellow Jacket and Bumble B.” In 2011 I produced a hip hop album called, “Frequency Mosaic,” by the Nocturnill. I have also worked on theatre productions, commercials, and weddings and events for Truself Media as a videographer and editor. My full-time video career began at Towers Productions where, after interning, I was hired as post-support for shows like “Inside World War II” and “Great Lake Warriors” and other television documentaries for the “History Channel.” Then, I became a Digital Media Technician and advanced to Mastering Tech for Premiere Digital Services where I prepared, processed, repaired, and edited t.v. and film content for iTunes, YouTube, and other streaming sites. Currently, I am the Specialist of North American Visual Content Capture & Storytelling at EnsembleIQ where I produce, edit, and manage our online video and audio content. Here, my roles range from videographer to editor, to motion graphics designer for our editorial pieces and live events. I also manage our many brand Youtube channels and edit our “Hermes Creative Award” winning podcasts, Retail Leader’s “Trend Talk” and CGT’s “Tech Transformation.” In 2021 I edited a short film called “Together at Zero” that won the “Chicago Shorts” festival at Logan Theater.
One aspect I love about this field is the opportunity to constantly work on new projects. It always stays interesting, and allows for creativity. I meet deadlines on time and cooperate with co-workers and clients with clear communication and a common passion for the craft and material.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best Regards,
R. Jean-Paul Masuda
