About me
I have trained as a classical vocalist, who is in possession of a full Baritone-Tenor range, I studied to undergraduate and postgraduate level at Salford University achieving a first class honours degree in Musical Arts from Salford University, and very recently completing a Masters in Composition. I trained under the auspices of the renowned vocal coach Clare-Hogan Taylor, and was supervised by Alan Williams for composition. I hold the Briggs Choral Award from Ripley St Thomas C.E. I featured as a vocalist in residence in The Adelphi Contemporary Music group (ACMG) and has worked closely with the notable contemporary composer Alan Williams in producing an original work entitled Heracleion a work in 5 movements, for varied instrumentation. Selections from Heracleion where premiered by ACMG back in 2015. Additional information:
I enjoy essay writing on music history and musical analysis, his Essay Beyond Use concerning the work of German composer Felix Mendelssohn achieved notable acclaim. My undergraduate dissertation was comprehensive review of contemporary techniques in tumbrel research and focused on an application of a method for analysing the tumbrel structure of the Massive attach song “Silent Spring” featuring the voice of Elizabeth Frasier. I plan to synthesise the learning from this theoretical research and other areas into my orchestral compositions.
