Stewart Garry
Watching Stewart Garry at work is an inspiring thing. The focus of his playing, the deftness of his hands and the beauty of his music steals the listener into a space where the single voice of an acoustic guitar can spin a universal story. And behind the challenging techniques that Stewart employs, his songs do create a narrative, a memory of a particular time and place. Aspiring to the work of Tommy Emmanuel and Andy McKee, Stewart is an extremely able and dedicated artist who is sure to find his own space in the scope of acoustic guitar work.
Stewart also devotes his time to some highly varied projects. Zang, our very grass-roots record label, is not only releasing his acoustic work, but also that of his post-hardcore band, Juinera. Within Juinera, Stewart demonstrates an ability to capture forcefulness of emotion and once more bend new and unexpected sounds from the guitar - a complete departure from his acoustic or jazz work. At Zang we are dedicated to Stewart as an individual - we believe he shows an exemplary talent and attitude, and carries with him a passion that will see him complete many new and remarkable projects in the future.

Stewart Garry
Stewart is a very dedicated student. He shows great passion towards the guitar, this is shown in his work ethic as he is always striving for new goals. He is a mature guitarist and focuses a lot of his time on the acoustic guitar. Stewart's acoustic playing incorporates beautiful open chords and interesting melodies. He is following in the footsteps of guitarists such as Andy McKee and Eric Roach; these guitarists have become immensely popular in the last few years as the techniques they use are new and exciting to the world of guitar. Stewart uses these same techniques and ideas but puts his own spin on them, especially in his own compositions.
Stewart is certainly a very creative and intelligent guitarist as he has his own vision of where he wants to go on the guitar, this is a very unique quality as very few musicians of any age know what they are aiming for. Stewart works hard on honing his craft and always seeks guidance and constructive criticism on ways to improve his performance and compositions. This shows a lot of potential for the future as he is showing all the right signs for acquiring the skills he needs to achieve his goals. If he continues working to the standards he is setting himself now, I have no doubt that he will be a very good professional guitarist in years to come.
