About me
I am available for work in Theatre, Television and film.Creatively I am excited about retelling stories and creating looks and characters that bring the story to life.
My skills include the maintenance of wigs, cutting and coloring of wigs and artists own hair. Making and fitting of hairpieces and application of period and modern day make up including special effects. I am passionate about my job and love working with a team of motivated people.
As a supervisor I have been responsible for department schedule planning, planning for the day ahead, breaking down scripts and establishing hair and makeup requirements. I understand productions schedule and can schedule cast fittings as well as booking local daily labor, organizing set ups, and liaising with other departments.
My role has been to manage and record budgets proficiently and share information with accounts and producers, keeping people to speed with departmental costs. I have run a profitmaking viable business for over 12 years and work freelance managing my own finances well and with care.
I am adept at managing staff and work with colleagues in a supportive way. Communicating the Makeup Designer’s ideas to makeup artists and dailies ensuring continuity through various systems. Providing the team with constructive positive feedback. I have supported and helped train juniors and people making a move from Theatre into the TV/Film industry. I recognize the need for more diversity within our industry and have fully supported this move mentoring.
Along side this I run my own business, manage staff, budgets and time rotas in the UK
I work well as part of a team and am trained in crisis intervention.
