About me
I graduated from University of East Anglia in summer 2018 with a first class honours in Scriptwriting and Performance. During my time there I wrote plays for stage, radio and film. I also directed two plays. I played the lead in both The Children's Hour and Pomona and have been cast as the protagonist in Ellie Bleach's music video: I Want You So Bad, which is being released in the coming months. In all the above I received excellent feedback/reviews (see below). As well as this I learnt many practical/transferable skills ranging from the management of money in theatre, marketing a product, sales and ticketing. My academic success was achieved through creative inspiration, hard work but most of all a love of learning, a passion for what I do and a desire to achieve at the highest level. I also have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), enjoy being behind the camera and love working with large groups of people.Skills

Highlights
-
I am the artistic director of Pits ‘N’ Clits theatre company. I wrote and directed our first play Hug The Bunny. We took it to Edinburgh this year, where it received three five star reviews from edfringereview* and threeweeksedinburgh*. Hug the Bunny was also featured in DAZED media’s article: Plays you wish you’d seen as a teenager. To fund the project I raised over £2,500. To do this I organised a music festival, feminist film screenings and theatrical evenings where I sourced writers, actors and directors to perform extracts of work. I worked with artists and graphic designers to help create a professional poster and logo. I was also in charge of managing the social media accounts.
I have written several plays, all of which were critical and audience successes. Luke, you’re a loser was awarded best short play at spotlight festival, Mind Maggots was selected to be put on in The Garage Theatre, Norwich and received a five star review from Concrete*. A radio play I wrote, Best Trait was published in the UEA anthology, my dissertation My Brother Billy received a first and I took Hug the Bunny to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it received three five star reviews and was featured in DAZED magazines: Plays you wish you'd seen as a teenager.
At university I was interviewed to direct three plays that had been selected for the Minotaur Shorts festival. It was a highly competitive process and I was offered the director position for all three. In my final year of university I was selected by my tutor (a professional theatre director) to assist him in directing our final production. More recently I came up with the concept and directed the trailer for Hug the Bunny: https://vimeo.com/281878817.
I designed and programmed the lighting and sound tech for The Garage Theatre's summer production of Maleficent.
