we young actors sometimes need advice or a friend to bend an ear .. We have many young actors on ccp who feel they cant talk to the older actors as some older actors are still seeking agents themselfs so a few young actors and we need more hint hint to be willing to give honest advice and support each other with getting a gent how to get a castings how to promote yourself and most of all back you up im just one of the ppl who are willing to do this for young actors blucky mickey churchill
Come onto these boards and ask questions at any stage Lernice. They're a genuinely good bunch of people who will help you with advice.
I posted a question about horse riding and stage combat a few months ago and was inundated with advice and suggestions, on the forum and by PM. I'm still receiving suggestions from people!! It really can be an invaluable resource for picking actor's brains, so keep asking, and good luck!!

I know I'm just starting out but I am happy to get questions (especially about Drama School vs getting experience, or how to prepare for the auditions etc etc) as, after my second year of trying, I have just accepted a place at Central starting this October (very excited and happy!) I think it's literally the experience I've gained by how much I've done this year that swung it, so even though I might only be new at this I'd be happy to share the little that I have picked up so far! Everyone needs a little help sometimes :)
I would love to contribute and offer advice on anything from script breakdown, character building and recommending acting teachers and classes. Please can someone give me some advice on where networking takes place, where should I be going, etc.
if you live in london soho is cool on saturdays mr eds dinne 1950 burgar bar in king street you could be sitting nxt to a producer also when you step out of mr eds the road facing you is buzzing with ppl in the industry its a fun street . On this topic some friends i know are trying to open actors bar spotlight members and prof ppl only its going to be where you can drop in chill before audition lots of notice boards for vacancys in biz just like in new york as we need a actorshang out blucky micky
working at a casting today i was suprized as when they said thanks for comming this producer money man said to each of them s it was recalls one by one come in??? Then he said right tell me a joke in sixtey seconds??? If they couldnt they had to stay in room as not to warn others and on it went one by one ??? Ive never seen that before have you?? Mickey c x

I am just coming to the end of my 1st month on CCP and this is my first post. I have just read all the positive comments and help offered by the actors on here I must say that I am warmed by all of you and your willingness to offer help and support!
I really feel as if I need some advice and am gladdened by the offers of this. I would be very happy to offer advice in return and will help if I can (though I'm not sure if I'm qualified to do so!)
I have been involved with a small theatre company in the past, so have experience of producing a show and dealing with venues and funding if that helps!
p.s This is a lovely idea Mickey - thanks for suggesting it and I love your positive karma comments! (much needed for us all me thinks)
hi ischa first i got t tell you this was not only my idea , all the ppl on here were posting advice on different sites so we all!! Put it together so we know that first every person on here has open door through private messages if you dont want open post ,so it gives everyone a option and our main foccus is to get each of these actors in work by what ever means ,they are a fantastick bunch of ppl all pooling ideas and if get any chance put other ppl up for work , so not only your agent trying for you we are as well had a couple of success castings i know its not much 2 jobs but we only been up and running a few days determined for all the guys and girls to be in workcallinng in favours all sort we are doing its really cool you be surprized how nice these actoors are of course if they fit the brief they go for it but loads of times you hear of a castinng before it hits spotlight so we jump in with suggestions looking forward to reading ur poost u look like a warm person yeah karma does work luv mickeyx welcome

setting up for a supermarket advert we got little ones in between 9 12 and the ppl for moms and dad from 3 to 6 its a big buyout so this is going be busy hey guess what some of the mothers have requested there child not to be seen with another kid whats all that about pushy moms pass the sick bucket ... Shall i give them sweets to make them go hyper haha only joking no i llike the kids its the moms man they demand another photo not happy with the way the little kid looks in first oh well better go back in to maddness some ppl have brought jimmy for casting and there mom nan and two othher ppl they are all up the stairs i just been told i got to get rid of anyone who is not with child spk soon mickey ps i aint never having kids when i grow up x
thought id pass this on to all the ppl on this post who are giving options of pm or posts..... At casting today i learnt that if you walk in not looking like your photo nill chance number two find your color everyone has a color that suits them on tv hd not camers! On tv your top the color can make all the difference not for drama or film but adverts so if you have a tv that allows you toplug in recorder take some different shots then you will find your color , once you have wear it to every ad they wont remember cos different client in room but you will know your in with a good chance as you got last advert in it just thought id pass that on ,. Any of you guys got any tips ?? i would like to know how to stop a person hic cuping ??? I was trying to help but poor guy he couldnt stop any ideas good ppl?

Keep your mouth closed, and repeatedly swallow, making sure you don't breathe in. Swallow as many times as you can before you are gasping to breathe. Works for me everytime.
As some of you are already aware I'm more than happy to respond to PM's or even DM's on Twitter (and that's often faster) and I'll try my best to give considered, well thought out, and constructive advice. Can't promise that's always something I achieve though as I'm human! But I do try :)

I tried to help this bloke yesterday but he couldnt stop hic cupping i felt sorry for him so i thought if im helping at casting like nxt week and that happens to someone ill find out what to do as im on the side of actor ur a star i am gratefull hey glen what do you thinkabout the color of your top in a advert casting ??
