About me
My name is Saudiq Baoku and I am an actor and singer. I am also known as Sid. I have always had a passion for performing and would like to take it further in the near future. I am looking to have a successful career in music and acting and I am very determined towards anything I set my mind to.In 2013, I completed my Bachelors in Performance and Events Production. This course gave me vital experience that has helped me grow in terms of building up my confidence and my self-esteem. It provided me with opportunities such as going on regular trips to see theatre productions as well as taking a devised show to Prague, Czech Republic. This brought me out of my comfort zone as I had never performed in a foreign country before.
Now that I am no longer in full-time education, I have been attending networking events in London and the rest of the UK. This is so that I can build up connections by meeting new people in the entertainment industry.

In 2002, as a child I attended a summer school where I was part of project called 'The International Face Of The Moon.' This was a short film about a group of children who draw portraits of themselves to have their face put on the moon and the film concludes with all the kids winning. This was one of the best experiences of my life.
On my Performing Arts course I have been given that chance to play different roles from an overworked butler to a sadistic bully. I have also had experience in playing a transsexual scene in a comedy club which was one of the most challenging roles that I had ever taken on. In March 2011, I was given the opportunity to travel tot New York with my Performing Arts class for a dance and acting workshop in Broadway where the dancing was as intense as the acting. This trip gave me a feel of what the world of acting is like.
Whilst I was studying for my Bachelors, I was given the opportunity to travel to Prague, Czech Republic in order to perform a production that had been devised from scratch called Hide and Seek. This was part of the Prague Fringe Festival. The production itself involved the actors, myself included interacting with the audience. Near the end of the festival, got the chance to present an award to one of the performers. Performing in a foreign has was definitely a great experience for me. -
In April 2009, I took part in a talent show at Lambeth College called 'Lambeth's Got Talent.' This was the first time that I had sung on stage to an audience. The experience was breathtaking and I received a great reaction from the audience. I was also given the chance to further my talent by singing a duet with another student at a Governers Dinner that same year and the music had been composed by a singer named Don-E. I wish to take music career even further in the near future.
