About me
I am interested in getting involved in dynamic film and theatre opportunities that will allow me to build on the experience I already possess as an actor and develop further skills within the field while broadening my horizons.I recently graduated from London Metropolitain University following a three year performing arts course which covered performance and theory including Brecht and Stanislavski. I am particularly interested in Boal and Forum Theatre and have harnessed this interest further through my active involvement with Cardboard Citizens.
My acting experience to date has been varied and allowed me to work in companies and venues offering a great deal of diversity such as the Hackney Empire (studios), Arcola Theatre, Clean Break Theatre Company and HMP Holloway to name but a few. I recently graduated from London Metropolitain University as a mature student following a three year performing arts course which covered performance and theory including Brecht and Stanislavski.
The roles I have taken have equally reflected this diversity ranging from playing Ash in Dark Room who was a surreal character to Rose, a troubled lesbian in 1950s London in Cakehole performed at the Hampstead Theatre and a dancing skeleton/dog in Cardboard Citizens ‘A Few Man Fridays’ performed at Riverside Studios.
I enjoy playing challenging characters and applying methods I have studied and refined over the course of my BA (Hons) Performing Arts. I am very interested in learning more about Shakespearean text and am currently pursuing a course to enhance my knowledge in this area. While I have performed a number of gritty roles, I am also keen to develop my acting portfolio by taking on roles in other genres.
