About me
I started doing theatre as a child and I am lucky enough to have found a way to turn it into a career. I started making my own costumes and then went to school for costume design at LACC. Since LACC I have had a lot of experience and have been able to travel a lot for work. As a Costume Designer for Club Med, I was the only employee with any costume knowledge. I was responsible for everything that has to do with costumes for the seven different shows that are put on each week. I designed, patterned, built and maintained every new show along with managing my shop. It was also my responsibility to teach performers that have no theatrical experience how to wear and take care of their costumes. I also ran all of the basic day to day operations of the costume shop. This included laundry, repairs, maintaining the integrity of the costumes so that they would last for years and setting all costumes and quick changes for the show. Before Club Med, I worked for Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey, where I learned about what it takes to load in and out a large scale production. I also worked at Universal Studios for two and a half years, where I held the seasonal position of lead dresser for Halloween Horror Nights and Grinchmas. For these events I was responsible for managing a large team, and maintaining the proper stock to costume over 500 performers. As lead dresser I was the assistant for the costume designer and wardrobe manager.
