As a production assistant for Woodridge productions under the supervision of the Art director, I performed support and organizational duties as well as running errands for the art and construction departments. My duties included collecting and processing timesheets for the construction department as well as processing and filing start-up paper work for their new hires. I also filed receipts and tracked the budget for the construction department. Previously I held the role of administrative assistant under the supervision of the floral replenishment buyer of The Kroger Company. This position afforded me the opportunity to strengthen my clerical skills and work in a professional office setting. My duties included drafting correspondence between vendors and the department or for interdepartmental communication, assisting with prioritization of tasks, and following-up with any questions or requests through e-mail. I established, developed, maintained and updated the buyer system, excel files, and floral department folders; retrieving the information when needed. Organizing and prioritizing large volumes of information and tasks play a pertinent role in this position. I received correspondence about delayed trucks and purchase order changes in addition to handling forwarded tasks from my supervisor. I acted as a liaison, responding to questions and requests from outside agencies and other departments including commodity. Often my supervisor requested for me to manage special projects requiring me to work independently on projects such as cubing purchase orders, updating the buying system with pallet counts, and updating department folders by verifying and adding item numbers and suppliers.
I am well organized and have demonstrated high attention to detail in my previous positions. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an extensive background in customer service that has greatly advanced my interpersonal skills. With my administrative experience I have perfected my information recording skills and gained essential experience in assisting multiple departments.
