About me
During his time in Atlanta, Trent rapidly moved up the productions ranks; from interning as a Camera Operator then Live-Switch Director on Turner South’s Whole World Comedy while finishing studies at Georgia State University, to Assistant Director of Extras Casting on Disney’s Remember the Titans, to being promoted by Mr. Daniel Goldberg to Associate Producer on DreamWorks’ Road Trip, all in 1999. Following four more years of producing everything from documentaries, commercials and music videos to live events, Trent made the jump to Los Angeles. For five years in LA, Trent progressed to the highest levels as a producer of unscripted and scripted material from features to serial television. Producing television for Fox (Renovate My Family), ABC (American Music Awards, World Music Awards), HBO, Travel Channel, as well as several independent and mid-level studio features. In 2009, the opportunity presented itself to return to New Orleans to produce the 24th season of MTV’s The Real World. Long desiring to return to the Crescent City, Trent viewed this as the position he had been waiting for to reintroduce him to the city’s burgeoning film community.
Within days of wrapping production for the season, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill occurred. Deciding to remain in New Orleans to film a documentary of the events and its effects of this disaster on the local fishing communities, Come Hell or High Water. Since, Trent has become one of the regions top producers. Running local productions and developing content for HBO, History Channel, Discovery Channel, A&E to name a few. Now, Trent has created a production company, RHB Productions, and film fund, Storyville Projects to produce a slate of unscripted and scripted materials based out of New Orleans which aim is to exploit local tax incentives as well as the wealth of story-telling inspiration the culture and people offer.
