About me
I have no experience in film or TV whatsoever, I am however desperate to get invoved in the film industry and am willing to do whatever it takes to make a start. Since I left college aged 18, I've worked in a picture framers in Islington, London. I worked my way up from the very bottom sweeping floors, to general manager in 7 years. For the past two years I have been working freelance designing and building scenic displays for design and PR agencies. I have worked with Nike, Reebok, Fitbit and Cadbury to name a few. I took a 6 week photography trip across America on my own in the summer of 2015 after leaving the Frame Factory, and I finally met somebody who worked in film. He was a Location Manager, and when I asked how he got into working in film he said he just "fell into it". He also said that most other people working in locations or set design and production had either a similar story to his, or had come from studying fine art or architecture. Having decided to go straight to work instead of going to university, I don't have a degree in either. I would love to work in location scouting or set design/building, and while I don't have many academic achievments or specific training, I do have real world experience designing and manufacturing small and large scale displays. I'm fully aware my profile is of mostly no use to anyone looking for experienced location scouts or set builders for their crew, but if anybody sees this and is willing to take me on, unpaid, doing any jobs even remotely related to scouting, set work or anything that could get me there please get in touch. I am no stranger to hard workReferees:

Additional information:
I have experience in managing a large scale picture framers, coordinating ten staff, organising work schedules and delivery dates, writing and negotiating contracts (employment & commercial), accounting and budgeting, stock delivery and workshop logistics and customer care. Along side running the framing business I also started handling installations working with galleries, corporate and private clients which required strong practical skills and awareness, and a good eye. I also have a clean drivers license and my own van and know my way around a camera. I have enrolled on a few architecural drawing, set design and production design courses taking place during 2017. As I complete them I will add them to my profile. I hope they will help make me a more worthwhile addition to any crew.
