About me
Based in New York City, Jeff Schultz films and photographs decisive moments which tell powerful stories. He is a member of the International Cinematographers Guild Local 600, and works in the camera department on feature films, documentaries, tv series, and commercials.Included among his documentary subjects are Joe Namath, John Gotti Jr., Walter Iooss, and Paulina Porizkova. Documentaries he’s contributed to are part of permanent exhibitions at the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History and the new Ellis Island Foundation's Statue of Liberty Museum.
Jeff recently worked as First Assistant Camera and Additional Camera Operator on Crabs in a Bucket, an independent feature film starring Jeremy Piven, Taryn Manning, and Bruce Dern. Other credits include First and Second Assistant Camera on Rockaway, a comedy series premiering at the Cinequest Film Festival in March 2020.
Jeff has also worked on Half Life, a TV comedy series airing on NYC Media, produced in association with the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment and Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. Other credits include Assistant Camera and Still Photographer for Kaufman Films' The Perfect Murder, as well as the A&E Biography docu-series Gotti: Godfather & Son.
Jeff operated camera for the popular TV commercial and web series The Unmovers by Optimum, capturing underwater footage of their epic pool party. To date, the web series has been viewed over 1 million times.
Jeff also contributed cinematography for a 30 second commercial promoting the Armory Foundation's college prep program. The spot runs nationally on NBC during the Millrose Games, online, and during live events at the New Balance Track & Field Center in New York City.
As a surf photographer, Jeff has been published in Windsurfing Magazine, Standup Journal Magazine, and Modern Luxury Beach Magazine.

Jeff donates photography and video services to the Ecological Culture Initiative, a Hampton Bays, NY based non-profit group devoted to fostering a resilient, ecology-based coastal community through sustainable food production, wellness, and environmental stewardship.
