About me
Growing up, I always wanted to study stories. I was in love with the concept that within each person, there was a potential to create a new world. Once I graduated college, I realized that my passion for world-building was sated by entering the field of film-making. Because, after all, what is entertainment industry if not a business of building new and unusual worlds?I started out working as a writer on a short web series, and since then, I've become a versatile and flexible creative that has worked on projects all along the film-making pipeline. I've worked in development as a researcher and writer, I've worked on set as a script supervisor, and I've worked in post as a transcription coordinator. I've worked on short films, feature films, and unscripted television.
I have been giving more focus on script supervision, but make no mistake, my passion for script supervision is born from who I am as a writer. And that is, someone who is a stickler for the details. On the various projects I've worked on, I've been able to develop a keen eye for consistency, while giving quick and efficient notes. A narrative is only as strong as the scenes it is built upon, and even the smallest error can weaken an otherwise strong segment. Some people have said I can be obsessed with jotting down everything that goes on, from blocking to make up to dialogue, but I personally believe it's better to be obsessive than to let carelessness make an entire project fall apart.
Additional information:
I bring my own templates and can bring my own clapboard as well. Some of my projects include working with the award winning 48 hour team, TRINOCEROS, during which I have worked upwards of 8 scenes a day. I am paper-based, but work with the CONTINUITY app, and am experimenting with SCRIPTCALC.
