Personal Statement
I am passionate about and have been working within the technical environment for over 20 years. I have developed extensive experience in both professional and amateur events within entertainment and live events industry. This coupled with the experience I've gained within the corporate and hospitality sectors has developed my professional standards immensely and has evolved me as both a person and a chief technician. I am skilled with working to tight dead lines and do my best work under pressure. I am a great communicator who is able use initiative and innovation to get the best results for any given task. In addition my time spent within the retail sector has provided me with outstanding customer service, management and budgeting skills which has proved invaluable throughout my career. My personal interests include travelling and learning about other cultures which my career has allowed me to me to indulge. It has taken me to over 50 different countries. This has turned me into a confident and multicultural man with excellent communication skills.

Main Responsibilities: Day to day management of the Technical department, duties included organization of up to 9 productions a year plus live events and music. Staff training, development and supervision. Ordering, maintaining and installation of new equipment that I have had to source with strict budgets. Ordering and maintaining consumable stock. Sound design for all shows, practical sourcing and building for all shows this would include working closely with the set designer, lighting design for all live events and music. Organization and managing all get INS and get outs. Managing budgets for my department. I had to work closely with directors and actors to help technically to produce a 6-9 week running shows.

Main Responsibilities: I had to work under pressure and to strict deadlines and possess the organization skills to deliver successful Events. Working within the conference and exhibition industry. Working closely with clients I would communicate with them to understand the given project. Main Responsibilities: organization and supervision of staff for the daily duties of the head store. Daily opening and closing of the store, morning walk through with a daily checklist, till set up for the day, balancing floats, x and y reads, cash reconciliation, banking, stock rotation, merchandising, ordering and maintaining stock levels, replenishment and maintenance of store standards such as sizing and spacing merchandise, customer services, working to and exceeding daily, weekly and monthly targets. managing staff meetings, interviewing, employing new staff and staff training, processing documentation and records for HR. Setting and maintains standards for health and safety procedures, cleanliness, organization and appearance of merchandise and store.
P&O Cruises, Sound and Lighting Technician, June 2003- August 2005
Main Responsibilities: Working with sound and lighting, duties included operation, rigging and maintenance of all sound and lighting equipment within three main venues along with configuration and design of production shows and cabaret acts. I worked within a team of eight other crew members and would frequently have the role of Stage Manager, organizing events and shows and teaching others how to operate sound and lighting equipment.

Venues worked in, Royal Albert Hall (TCT Concert and Madam Butterfly), Barbican Centre (all types of Live Bands and Orchestras), BBC TV Centre (Johnny Vaughn Tonight Show and Dumb Jolly), and many other smaller venues for parties, gig and conferences.
Sun Cruises, Sound and Lighting Technician, June 2000-November 2002
Main Responsibilities: Operation, Rigging and Maintenance of all Equipment (mainly ETC and Soundcraft) and Shows. The day to day running of all venues on their cruise ships. Running all live shows in sound and lighting. On each 6 month contract I would do either sound or lighting. I also designed lighting for cabaret act and new productions. Maintaining all equipment on a daily basis as there is on back up except the equipment you have onboard. I would have to work closely with the resident bands and cabaret acts. The entertainment included Production Shows and Cabaret Acts, such as Dave Evans, Dianne Cousins even the Crankies.

Butlins, Minehead, Lighting and AV Technician, March 1998-June 2000
Main Responsibilities, The day to day running of the Skyline venue. Maintain of all equipment, Running all live shows in lighting and A.V. and managing the crew. I also produced all A.V. and lighting of new productions for the other two centers. At odd times I would have to run the sound in other venues such as Reds and The Crazy Horse. At these venues I would have to work closely with live bands and do rehearsals for the production show. Plus go to other centers to configure and design new production shows.
