About me
I'm an experienced London-based film scorer who has gained multiple credits in a relatively short period of time, thanks to an extremely strong work ethic and my dedication to achieving the perfect scores for my clients. I am frequently reused by my collaborators as a result, and the films I have worked on have consistently won awards and achieved festival success, including even making the Oscar longlist. I started composing many years ago, having studied at the Royal College of Music and the University of Edinburgh. Here is my IMDb: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm7249352/

Just to give you some background about me, over the past few years, I have composed scores for four feature films, multiple shorts and various other media projects. Some highlights have been: the independent feature 'Freesia', a spiritual drama released during 2017 in UK cinemas, my score for which was nominated for Best Original Score at the London International Filmmaker Festival; a dramatic short film entitled 'The Gurney' which recently won Best Student Film at the Norwich Film Festival; a documentary about cancer treatment entitled 'Locks' made by BBC producer/director Miles Bladen-Ryall; and a short film featuring 'Game of Thrones' actor Iain Glen entitled 'The Fabric of You'. Last year, I scored the feature films 'Cafe Mirage' by Neilson Black and 'Retreat' by Chris Newberry.
I am a classically trained pianist and organist, having earned Grade 8 with distinction on the piano, Grade 8 with merit on the organ, a performance diploma on the harpsichord, and I am also proficient in jazz piano. At University, I studied composition and gained experience of composing music for student films, theatre productions and solo instrumental concerts. I am able to compose in a variety of styles, informed by this history as a performer and my many years of studying music. I use all of this experience in my own composing, as well as taking a lot of influence from contemporary film music.

Additional information:
Logic X is my DAW of choice. I use various EastWest sample libraries, including Symphony Orchestra, Ghostwriter, Hollywood strings, brass and woodwind, and I own Native Instruments Komplete which includes a range of Vienna Symphonic instruments. I have been using Sibelius ever since secondary school and currently use the 7.5 edition. I have also been completing an online course in Cinematic Orchestration with ThinkSpace education due to the specific guidance it gives in composing using samples to create as convincing as possible orchestration mock-ups. I am a Grade 8 distinction pianist, I am also trained in jazz piano, I have grade 8 with merit on the organ and did a gap year mainly studying organ performance at the Royal College of Music where I gained a first in my end of year performance exam. I also have a performance diploma on the harpsichord.
