About me
I strongly argue that I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades. I fell into working for films accidentally by volunteering to help a NYU film student friend with her senior thesis. Coming from a writing and editing background, the administrative duties of assistant directing came naturally and the hands-on production assistant tasks were entirely refreshing. I fell in love with being on a busy set and constantly moving and taking care of all kinds of requests. I have since worked on two other short films, as well as a television pilot. Modeling myself after Christopher Walken, I will not refuse any offer to work on a project. But it would help if doing something I loved could pay the rent as well! The idea of working on a set excites me to no end. And no, I have no urge to harass the talent with fanatic demands. More recently, I have become interested in the post-production/editing side of film as well.Additional information:
What have I done on set? I have distributed call sheets, kept the cast and crew on filming schedules, administered waivers and various production permissions, taken care of craft services, assisted with acquiring and returning rentals, instructed extras in their tasks, relayed messages between various members, helped with parking, controlled public spaces for frame and sound, created signs directing crew and talent to different scenes, taken and edited set photos, assisted art production from wallpapering to carrying mannequins up flights of stairs, helped grip, lighting and sound with carrying and setting up materials, ordered car services, used walkie-talkies to communicate with crew, constantly in contact with people on the phone.
