About me
Throughout my career, I have always pushed myself to uphold the highest standards for my work: seeking to enliven the task at hand with an intrepid, insatiable delight in my ardor for what is in vogue. Through rigorous study and honest self-reflection, I have garnered a reputation for building the highest rapport with my clients and associates, going out of my way to show them my appreciation for their business and esteem. With 10 years of management experience, in both privately-owned and corporate settings, I have learned to be a leader and self-starter when appropriate, and how to defer regarding others who are more knowledgeable in order to better understand my craft and career. Working in many ‘fast-paced’ environments has taught me to work gracefully under fire, adapting my interpersonal goals in concert with my team and staff to deliver the highest quality of service or production possible.
While the professional experience in the film and TV industry has emboldened my work thru production experience alone e.g. in TV and film: Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, ; Flinch and Come Home, it would not have been possible without a learned approach and fortitude gained a prior in Hollywood. Therein, plying my craft at the costume design house “Valentino’s”, as well as designing for The Edison’s grand opening, “Incandescence,” bestowed upon me a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunities given me, purposefulness, and surety in my craft by honing it in a dedicated, disciplined manner.
The reason why costume and design have captured my interest is that there is something
intrinsically immersive about the transformation of the actor, actress, or model that takes place once they are put into a costume. Opulent costumes or a period piece completes the talent's ability to assume a role. Allowing them to distill a bit more referential material from the apparel they don. As it can be inseparable from one's identity as the character portrayed, whether perceived or inherent to their nature. What one does and what one wears has always been a topic of interest to me as the power of another's gaze transforms us in numerous ways.
With a carefully cultivated awareness of my field: the experience, knowledge, and
intuitive grasp in the domains of retail, high fashion, and costuming, embodied hence will make me a great addition to your team.
