About me
My head has always been in the industry; I began writing for film around the same time I learned to read. Throughout my childhood, I was obsessed with cameras and would film short stories for my family. Then, in college, I volunteered to assist campus organizations with producing content, and funded my own professional camera set-up. It was during my time in college where I developed most as a storyteller and as a creative individual. I would put my skills to fruition in my first internship, which was for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. I learned the ins and outs of television production, and decided quickly that this was the life for me.After returning to school in Wisconsin, I quickly realized that I wanted to return to New York to continue my experience in late night, and was fortunate to earn an internship at The Tonight Show. It was here that I greatly grew in terms of research, and I was consistently a reliable hand with any project. Not only was I singularly asked to work more than the normal three days, but I was approached by writers to assist with jokes. It was a very valuable creative experience for me.
Through connections I made throughout my internships, I was fortunate to be recommended to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. There, I developed skills in another key area: talent. Day to day, I ensured that green rooms were perfectly prepared for that night's guests, served as an immediate helping hand for guest and management needs, and provided unparalleled support to every department within the show. Again, I was singularly asked to work the entire week, whereas other interns only worked two or three days. I was, at the time, undertaking a full course load.
My hard work and absolute dedication has never gone unnoticed, which is immediately apparent through The Late Show's rapid promotion of me through their departments. While I started as an intern, within 5 months I was a Production Assistant, and after 3 more months I was promoted to the Music Talent Assistant. I am an absolute force to be reckoned with in terms of workload, as I take on much more work than a normal employee, and I complete everything efficiently, effectively, and most importantly, properly. There simply is no one else like me, and my references will guarantee that.
