About me
HiMy name is James Boothby, im 21 years old and just graduated with a degree in media. As in the industry, my course was very 'hands-on' and involved alot of practical work both as a team and individual work. This only highlighted how enthusiastic I am to achieve a career in media.
In terms of media work, Ive been involved in numerous projects. My final production for my university course went on to appear at film festivals across Europe as well as achieving 84% towards my final degree. Ive also wrote articles for sport magazine 442 as I discussed how footballers wages are ruining the game for the supporter. Ive also been involved in the filming and production of the first ever Southport Darts Championship and also acted as a runner for the musinc video 'Sex Shooter' by artist Nikki Belle.
Since graduating, I work voluntary at my local college within their media department, aiding students with their coursework, building the college website and compiling productions within the college onto DVD. I also aided in the production of their 2012 enrollment commercial advert.
I dream to have a career in the media and, piece by piece, that dream is starting to become a reality. I am willing to give 100% to any production I partake in as I look to, if nothing else, build up my CV, meet new contactd snd 'get my foot in the media door'
